Marshfield Clinic, Northwoods Coalition (NWC) and Alliance for Wisconsin Youth hosted the first NWC Regional Meeting in May, 2016, in Hayward, Wisconsin, to address methamphetamine use in those NWC counties and communities most affected by methamphetamine use and to look for ways to collaborate and share ideas, strategies and resources. Over 30 representatives from Ashland, Barron, Burnett, Chippewa, Monroe, Oneida, Polk, Rusk, Sawyer, Taylor and Wood counties and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services attended the meeting.
The second Regional Methamphetamine Meeting was held in September, in Barron, Wisconsin. Over 35 people attended the meeting, with the addition of representation from Douglas, Dunn, Eau Claire, Price, and St. Croix counties and the Wisconsin Department of Justice.
The third Regional Methamphetamine Meeting was held in November, in Ladysmith, Wisconsin. Over 40 people attended, with the addition of representation from the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians and Bayfield, Clark, Washburn, Marathon, Trempealeau, and Pepin counties.
The Northwoods Coalition Methamphetamine Summit was held on April 3, 2017, in Trego, Wisconsin.
